Even if you have never touched a shamisen before, Sense Oyama will patiently teach you the basics and tips for improvement in simple English and Japanese.
Instruments are available to rent and or borrow!
Leaning to play the shamisen is a fun and relaxing experience that allows you to immerse yorself in the traditional art and sounds of Japan.

Cost:¥10,000 a month, 3 private lessons,running 30 minutes each
Lesson Availavility: Tuesdays from 18:00 to 22:00,
Thursdays from 18:00 to 22:00,
or Saturdays from 13:00 to 22:00
Other lesson days may be available upon requst. On-site private and group lessons can also be requested.
Enrollment fee : ¥5000
this fee is waived if you take a trial lesson!

Special introductory trial lesson price includes borrowing an instrument. No need to bring your own!
Trial lesson is a full 30 minutes of private instruction.

Mitsufuji Oyama
Sensei Oyama continues the musical traditions passed down from his mother and he has been playing and teaching the Tsugaru shamisen for more than 30 years himself.
The studio has been running various traditional Japanese music classes for more than 50 years.
Continuing his mother's legacy of focusing on conveying the cultunal richness of Tsugaru shamisen and the fun of music,Mitsufuji works hard to spread the charm and beauty of Tsugaru shamisen.
